Sky’s the Limit: The Future of Electric Flight

Decarbonizing the future of aviation

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is one of the biggest challenges the aviation industry is currently facing. However, the low-carbon alternatives currently available on the market can be expensive to operate and limited in terms of range.

A new generation of electric aircraft powered by hydrogen propulsion is transforming aviation and making it possible to travel longer distances at a lower price.

Watch the talk with engineering.com and Beyond Aero’s head of product, Jacques-Alexis Verrecchia, to discover how Beyond Aero is developing its hydrogen-electric aircraft, how it is tackling certification challenges and which technology is helping the startup get its aircraft off the ground.

Beyond Aero is a French aviation startup that aims to create the first certified hydrogen-powered business aircraft. With a range of over 1,500 kilometers, the aircraft is designed to carry up to six passengers. To achieve its goals, the startup created its design from scratch to account for the technical specifications of hydrogen propulsion such as weight, safety and refueling conditions, and to accommodate hydrogen fuel tanks.
