Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) affect millions of people worldwide, yet for many, especially the most vulnerable, treatment for these debilitating conditions is difficult if not impossible to receive. There is a strong need to create new treatments for NTDs, yet the current pipeline is thin.
Collaborations Pharmaceuticals utilized the machine learning capabilities of BIOVIA Discovery Studio and BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot to evaluate the potential of existing drugs on the market as potential treatments for NTDs such as Ebola and Chagas disease. As a result, they have identified a collection of treatments that are under evaluation by the US FDA.
