IF WE leverage virtual technologies to advance defense operational capabilities
WE can accelerate the next frontier in Aerospace & Defense innovation
For Australia, the rationale for pursuing innovation in Aerospace & Defense has never been greater, amid an era where regional security issues have become progressively more complex, and where transformative technologies are enabling an Industry Renaissance in the sector at an accelerated pace.
Dassault Systèmes has been at the heart of the Australian Federal Government’s drive towards defense innovation through the development of the Virtual Shipyard program in partnership with the State Government of South Australia. In aerospace, Dassault Systèmes’ solutions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform have proven track record with leading global companies in driving innovation and efficiency across the product development lifecycle of aerostructures.
As Australia’s Aerospace & Defense sector looks towards next frontier technologies, Dassault Systèmes will be showcasing their innovations and industry solutions at key pivotal defense events.
Case Study: Georgia Institute of Technology
The Aerospace Systems Design Lab (ASDL) at Georgia Institute of Technology needed to design a framework to mitigate some of the costs and development time of complex systems, such as an unmanned aerial system (UAS).
As the backbone for its virtual prototyping environment, the lab used Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform that provided conceptual design optimization and time savings by bringing downstream design concepts upfront to virtually analyze and test UAS without a physical prototype.
